Top Dog Analysis: Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was one of the most imminent and successful fascist leaders. During Hitler’s reign, he carried out his main goal thoroughly. Of the three totalitarian leaders of the time (Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini), Hitler’s reign was the most extreme and devastating of them all.
A failed artist, Adolf Hitler was in Vienna when he listened to Karl Leuger preach about anti-Semitism and racial superiority. Immediately attracted to the idea and connecting with it right away, Adolf returned to Germany. When the Germans lost the First World War, Adolf was devastated and blamed it on the Jews. He joined an anti-Seminist government party called the German Workers’ Party. As this party grew, he gained power. He overthrew the government in a coup d’etat, and was then the official leader, but imprisoned for a short time.
While Adolf was in jail, he composed his work Mein Kampf (my struggle), about his strong beliefs of the racial superiority of peoples of Nordic descent. His book also discussed racial cleansing. His book was wildly popular and spread his ideas to millions of Germans.
His goal since the start of his interest in politics was to racially purify Europe and the World. In February, 1942, Hitler said, “we shall regain our strength only by eliminating the Jews.” This was his order for a full on cleanse of Jewish existence. From there on out, concentration camps filled with famine, poisonous gas, brutal and unjustified murders, etc. effectively killed millions of Jewish peoples in and around Germany.
In 1945, Adolf and his wife committed suicide, ending the Second World War and fascism in Germany.
Hitler is one of the most hated and disliked leaders of the world, but he was one of the most successful totalitarians at carrying out his goals.
