The Nineteenth Century Isms and Revolutions
Major political developments started emerging in 1815, and lasted until 1850. Three major ideological forces came to the front. During this time, Austrian Metternich would maintain diplomatic order, but Nationalism, Liberalism, and Socialism would all clash together in revolutions. This time period brought about many dual revolutions, one thing that would tick of another and cause major economic, social, or political change. From 1840-1900, revolutions occurred more frequently as a result of class competition, feminist movements, worker revolts, and living conditions. Nationalism, one of the most significant "isms" was very prominent from 1850-1914. Nationalism ended up leading to a unified Europe.
