- Psychoanalysis was a method developed by Sigmund Freud for examining someone’s psychology and their innermost thoughts.

- Ricardo’s Iron Law of Wages stated that the pressure caused by population growth would always make wages decrease to a point just barely allowing for survival.

- His theory made the British industrialists very happy because they could use his iron law of wages for an excuse to always keep their wages low for workers.

- The Factory Act of 1833 was a law put in place by parliament influenced by the protests of workers that limited the workday for children to 10-hour days.

- As a result of the act, children were put in schools and the rate of adolescent workers dramatically declined; it also broke the patter of all of the families working together.
